Gallery 867: Picture in Time Special - Manchester Metrolink 6th September 2006

The first Metrolink tram to receive an armed forces related name was 1013 which was named "THE GRENADIER GUARDSMAN" in July 2002 ("THE LANCASHIRE FUSILIER" name on 1020 would follow in September 2002). Proudly showing off its name the tram is approaching St Peter's Square with a service for Piccadilly which would have started back at Altrincham.
