This view, taken in 1974, is again in the Cable Car Museum and shows Market Street Railway 19, a car which operated on the same Clay Street line as the vehicle in our previous photo. Built 1907-8 by the United Railroads of San Francisco it is a double-ended California style car built from the remains of of former open cars. Continuing in service until the 1940s it was withdrawn and acquired by the Pacific Coast Chapter of the Railway Locomotive and Historical Society but after storage ownership returned to the San Francisco Municipal Railway who out it on display in the Cable Car Barn in 1966. Stored again from 2000, it was returned to the Car Barn in 2018 where work is now underway to return it to service.
