Gallery 861: Picture in Time Special - Isle of Man Year of the Railways 1993


This view is taken at the Snaefell Car Shed and is the "scrap corner". The two main vehicles seen here are the remains of the original locomotive no. 7 which had last run in 1955 and was used for the measurements for the replica (now MER 34) before just a couple of years after this photo it was crapped. We can also former Civil Avaition Authority 2 (the yellow and black vehicle just behind the skip) which can now be found at the Statfold Barn Railway.
