At a time when there was only one illuminated feature car available for tour duty - although that number would increase soon after this photo was taken - it was not uncommon for other trams to be used on tours. On Saturday 4th September 2004 here we see Bolton 66 with its added illuminations on the ends at North Pier with passengers boarding for a tour of the lights. The long-standing arrangement of tour cars boarding on the centre track here and having to cross the main northbound line to do so is seen in this view.
