Gallery 725: Luas - 20th March 2018

5024 broke down in Marlborough Street and after initial efforts to fix the tram enabling it to be moved under its own power it had to be rescued with 5005 doing the honours. The latter tram had to push 5024 and did this all the way through to Sandyford Depot. In this shot we see the pair coming out of Marlborough Street and about to cross Eden Quay onto the Rosie Hackett Bridge. This bridge crossing the River Liffey is for tram, bus and cycle use only – although it has footpaths for pedestrians either side. It was built about three years ago.
