Gallery 646: Crich Starlight Spectacular - October 2016 |
As has become tradition the last week of the operating season at the Crich Tramway Village sees the museum transformed with special lighting effects for the Starlight Spectacular event which includes the rare chance to travel on trams after dark in the Derbyshire countryside. Photographs in this collection were taken on Saturday 29th October when seven trams formed the main service (Blackpool 40, Blackpool 166, Blackpool 167, Leeds 345, Leeds 399, Sheffield 510 and Liverpool 869) with Berlin 223 006-4 operating its usual trips during the day and Blackpool 762 entering service after dark. The event was well attended, there was a Star Wars theme, so there were many people dressed as characters from the films as well as in Halloween fancy dress. The Woodland Walk was also decorated with a Halloween theme.
All Photographs in this collection were taken by Bob Hodges on 29th October 2016. |
