Gallery 626: Heaton Park Tramway Battle of Somme 100th Anniversary - July 2016

2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Somme and the national commemorations for this were centred on Heaton Park in Manchester at the start of July. The Heaton Park Tramway were included in this with many of their trams specially decorated for the event including Manchester 765 and Manchester 173 as recruiting trams with Blackpool 619 carrying side panel events commemorating the anniversary. In this collection we feature those trams the day after the main events.
