Gallery 625: Heritage Trams to Starr Gate - 18th June 2016 |
Saturday 18th June was the first of a two-day event in Blackpool featuring a rare opportunity to enjoy a ride on a heritage tram along New South Promenade to Starr Gate. This first day was blessed with glorious sunshine and resulted in pleasing loadings on the trams, with the open cars proving especially popular. Despite a few issues on the day, this was a most enjoyable event with a total of seven different trams from the heritage fleet in service: Marton 31, Bolton 66, Centenary car 648, Twin set 675+685 and Boats 227, 230 and 600. All of these plus some of the Flexity2 trams are featured in this gallery showing some highlights from the day.
All Photographs in this collection were taken by Andrew Waddington on Saturday 18th June 2016. |
