Gallery 590: Blackpool Tramway Winter Gold - 27th & 28th February 2016

Blackpool's second 'Winter Gold' operating weekend took place over the weekend of Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th February, with a six car service running on both days. Highlights included the unusually early appearance of Boat car 230 which ran to Fleetwood on both days, whilst the Sunday saw two Twin sets in action simultaneously. The full list of heritage trams used that weekend comprises: Box 40, Standard 147, Boat 230, Twin set 272+T2, Brush car 631, Centenary car 648, Twin set 675+685 and Balloons 715, 717 and 723. Most of these trams feature in this gallery showing some highlights of the latest great event in Blackpool.

Photographs in this collection were taken by Rob Bray & Ken Walker in February 2016.
