Gallery 578: Midland Metro opens to Bull Street - December 2015 |
On Sunday 6th December the first part of the Midland Metro Birmingham City Centre extension opened with passengers travelling between St Paul's and Bull Street for the first time. In this collection we start off in the days leading up to the opening with driver training and test runs taking place before we find ourselves on day one itself. Trams are shown at various locations between St Paul's and Bull Street along with some views of the old alignment at Snow Hill, now consigned to the history books.
Photographs in this collection were taken by Robert Deloyde, Ken Jones, Ian Nightingale & Andy Walters in December 2015. |
