Gallery 571: Trams in Northern Ireland - April 2015

Earlier in this collection we saw the new Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Railway but here is a view of two vehicles dating from 1893. In the front is no . 2 with open car 5 behind. The Giant's Causeway Tramway ran for 9 1/4 miles and linked the famous Giant's Causeway with the railway station at Portrush. The line originally closed at the end of the 1949 season but as we saw earlier has now reopened albeit with diesel power instead of the electric formally used.
