Gallery 567: Midland Metro Birmingham Snow Hill Closes - 24th October 2015

Saturday 24th October was another "last ever" day on Midland Metro with the original Birmingham Snow Hill terminus welcoming its last trams before closure. With the Birmingham City Centre extension due to open before the end of the year - which will bypass the terminus - it was necessary to close the short stretch of line from St Paul's to Snow Hill to allow for the old and new lines to be connected up. In this collection we feature a small selection of photos taken on that last day of both the trams terminating and also a few shots of the surrounding area and we take a brief look at the city centre extension works.

Photographs in this collection were taken by Ken Jones & Andy Walters.
