Gallery 553: Nottingham Express Transit Phase 2 Opens - August 2015

The long awaited Phase Two extensions of Nottingham Express Transit finally opened to the public on Tuesday 25th August and in this collection we feature photos from the first and second days of operation. Services now operate from Toton Lane to Hucknall and from Clifton South to Phoenix Park with both the original Incentro trams and the new Citadis trams operating across both routes. Starting off during test operations to set the scene we then find ourselves at Nottingham Station for the start of the day and then as the day progresses we visit the new lines to see the trams in action. We then conclude our collection with a few more images taken on the second day of passengers operations.
