Gallery 547: Crich: The Great War Home Front - July 2015 |
The latest special event to take place at the Crich Tramway Village was "The Great War: Home Front" and in this collection we take a look at not only the trams which starred during the week long event but also some of the other sights that visitors could enjoy. This included the visit of the London Transport Museum's Battle Bus for the second half of the event with this bus also offering rides to visitors and as usual with events of this type there were re-enactors on site to give the vibe of the period being represented. On the tram front a three tram service was offered for the first five days of the event before the weekend saw five trams in service each day with the Recruitment Tram Chesterfield 7 playing a starring role throughout. Away from the service trams we also feature Liverpool 869 which was spotted going for a wash as preparations for its return into service continue.
All Photographs in this collection were taken by Hazel Quarmby between 15th and 18th July 2015. |
