Gallery 545: Summerlee: The Museum of Scottish Industrial Life - July 2015 |
For 25 years it was the only place in Scotland you could enjoy a ride on a tram and is now the only operational heritage tramway in the country since the opening of Edinburgh Trams. The Museum of Scottish Industrial Life in Coatbridge, more commonly known as Summerlee, is the home of four trams of which three are currently available for service. This collection of photos shows two of the resident trams in action - Glasgow 1017 and Dusseldorf 392 - on a warm and sunny early July day whilst we also see Lanarkshire 53 resting in the depot and the two halves of Glasgow 1245 as it undergoes a major restoration.
All Photographs in this collection were taken by Gareth Prior on 3rd July 2015. |
