Gallery 521: Burton & Ashby 14 - March 2015

Probably the biggest news story of 2014 in tram preservation was the repatriation of Burton & Ashby 14 from Detroit where it has been since 1980. It was confirmed earlier this year that the tram had been transported back to the UK and is now at the Statfold Barn Railway in Staffordshire. Although this is a private railway there are several chances for interested enthusiasts to gain access to the site and the first of these for 2015 was on Saturday 28th March. This allowed many UK based enthusiasts the first chance to see this tram for 35 years and it turned out to be one of the star exhibits of the event, even though it was just on static display - for now...

Photographs in this collection were taken by K James, James Jones, Ken Jones & Tony Waddington on 28th March 2015.
