Gallery 519: Glasgow 488 restoration update - January 2015

For the past couple of years the Boston Lodge workshops on the Ffestiniog Railway has been the home of a Glasgow Standard Car which is being restored back to operational condition for the East Anglia Transport Museum. Having been repatriated from Paris the tram is currently split into two halves with the progress so far being on the lower deck and this is now coming to an end. This collection provides an update on the current state of the tram with images showing the lower deck both internally and externally. You can find out more about the restoration at http://www.488.cyberpictures.net/.

Photographs in this collection are courtesy of Hugh Taylor.
