Gallery 509: Manchester Metrolink City Centre works - January 2015

With the Aiport extension opening to passengers at the end of 2014 construction work on Manchester Metrolink is now being concentrated in Manchester City Centre with three major projects currently underway. This selection of photos starts off at Deansgate-Castlefield where work is continuing on the transformation of this stop and we then move on to St Peter's Square. Although the major works here are not due to start until the Deansgate works are completed some work is taking place as part of the Second City Crossing (2CC). It is the 2CC works themselves that we move on to next and then we conclude at Victoria where the Metrolink transformation is coming towards a conclusion.
