Gallery 496: Kirkham Prison - The Great Escape

Over two days in November, three preserved Blackpool trams - Brush Railcoach 621, Centenary car 641 and Towing car 673 - were moved from temporary storage at Kirkham Prison, and transferred to storage elsewhere. For 621 this meant a journey to Beamish Museum where the tram is now a permanent member of the resident tram fleet, whereas the other two were moved to Fleetwood fish docks to join several other trams from the collection of the Fleetwood Heritage Leisure Trust. These moves are all featured in this special mini gallery.

All Photographs in this collection were taken by Colin Macleod/Fleetwood Heritage Leisure Trust.
