Gallery 490: Metrolink Airport Line Shadow Running - October/November 2014

As normal ahead of a new extension of Manchester Metrolink opening there has been shadow running on the Aiport line commencing on Monday 20th October. This has seen trams running at the timetabled frequency with services every 12 minutes between Cornbrook and Manchester Airport, although no passengers were able to travel. In this collection of photos we take a look around the line with images taken on the first day of shadow running - 20th October - and then continue our tour with further photos taken on 26th October. We then conclude this collection with photos taken on 1st November when there was a special preview service for local residents in operation.
