Gallery 487: Manchester Metrolink Airport line Driver Training - September & October 2014

The next extension of Manchester Metrolink due to open to the public will be the line to the Airport via Wythenshawe with passengers expected to be carried on this section by the end of the year, although an exact date is still awaited from Transport for Greater Manchester. Ahead of the opening driver training has been accelerated in recent weeks with up to three LRVs in use during the week. This collection of photos features images from three different periods of testing and training starting off on 21st September with views around Hardy Lane and Hollyhedge Road. We then move on to 26th September with more views of LRVs on training this time between St Werburgh's Road and Martinscroft. Finally we visit on 11th October and see more vehicles during their driver training.
