The major redevelopment work at Victoria Station continues as part of a joint project between Network Rail and Transport for Greater Manchester. Metrolink services are currently not stopping at Victoria with single line working in operation using the new inbound line as a single line between Shudehill and Millgate north of Cheetham Road Bridge. On 9th July we see a token handover at Millgate between 3059+3044 on the Altrincham-Bury service and 3024 on a Rochdale-East Didsbury service. The hut and platform for the hand signalman can be seen between the two vehicles.
