Gallery 437: Docklands Light Railway February 2014


114 and an unidentified unit on a westbound service approaching Limehouse along the historic London & Blackwall Railway viaduct. Originally opened in 1840 for cable-hauled trains, this section closed to passengers in 1926 and to freight in 1962. It then stood derelict for 25 years until utilised for the first sections of the DLR in 1987. It is now a listed structure by English Heritage
