 A tram on the motorway is not a sight you see every day but that is exactly what was spotted on Saturday 25th April at junction 8 of the M6 as it was coming towards the end of its journey. Manchester Metrolink 3053 had been in Kilmarnock since last July for repairs after a collision with a bus at Piccadilly Gardens but with the work now completed it was transported back by Allelys. The tram finally made it back to Queens Road on Sunday 26th April 2026. Photograph by Luke Milner |
