Manchester Metrolink - March 2026

This is the first part of a collection of photos taken on Manchester Metrolink during the latter half of March 2026. These images come from a two-day period (a Friday and Saturday) and show trams in action within Manchester City Centre as well as out on the Oldham and Rochdale, East Didsbury, Eccles, Trafford Park and Airport lines.

This was still when the core service was every 12 minutes on all lines (it has since been reduced to every 15 minutes of course) and so on this Friday and Saturday there were sections where the frequency was every 6 minutes because of the peak extras in operation.

The majority of trams we see are still in standard fleet livery, but there are also a few advertising liveries seen - including a couple which have since been removed (one just the day after it was captured in this photo!).

Photographs were taken on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st March 2026.
