Around the World in Trams: Seashore Trolley Museum - October 2025

The last of the Brit ex-pats at Seashore is Liverpool 293, a Baby Grand which entered service in 1939. It received a special livery for the closure of the tramway in 1957, and remnants of that colour scheme remain on the tram to this day. 293 was acquired by Seashore in 1958 to show how designs in trams had changed since the more traditional looking Blackpool 144. Although it did briefly operate after arrival it was later stored outdoors before being moved inside. It now needs restoration and remains stored. The Seashore website states that "Seashore's trustees have turned down repeated requests from fans in Britain to move No. 293 back to the Liverpool area."
