Onto the second parade and we again see the cars coming out in preparation. This parade would feature from all the other cities that are in the museum's collection. Philadelphia Transportation Company 2711 pulled out of Track 32 of the Trolley Display Building and then backed into Track 31. Since the cars parade in the order that they were built, it was thought that it was just waiting for its proper place, but this was the only movement for the 2711 that day. This car is a post war design Presidential Conference Commission ("PCC") car that was built as Philadelphia Transportation Company 2711; built by Saint Louis Car Company (Order number 1649) between February and April 1947. This car rides on two Clark B2 trucks each of which mount two Westinghouse 1432D traction motors; the control group is a Westinghouse XD473. This car was built to the Pennsylvania Trolley gauge. Ownership of this car passed to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority ("SEPTA") as their 2711 as of 30th September 1968. 2711 was retired and sold to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum during 1999; it has been rebuilt by Adtranz to provide wheelchair accommodation for museum visitors.
