Riverside Museum, Glasgow - June 2025 |
![]() Its not just trams at the museum and its probably no suprise that the Glasgow Subway also features extensively. That includes 1898 built 39T, which came just two years after the system opened after the single car trains which started the service were found not to provide enough capacity. This vehicle stayed in service until 1977 (albeit modernised) and after withdrawal was restored back to its original condition. It is now displayed in a recreation of a Subway station. |
