East Anglia Transport Museum - Seaside Special 12th & 13th July 2025 |
The latest event at the East Anglia Transport Museum took place over the weekend of 12th and 13th July 2025. As the name suggests "Seaside Special" had a seaside theme with most of the vehicles being used over the two days having some form of connection with the seaside.
For the trams that meant it was Blackpool all the way with the usual two-tram service operated by a combination of Marton VAMBAC 11, Standard 159 and Brush Railcoach 634. Whilst we are a tram website, the East Anglia Transport Museum is so much more than just trams and we also feature other vehicles which operated over the weekend. This included a wide variety of trolleybuses, with examples from Bournemouth, Copenhagen, Hastings and Portsmouth all in action - the highlight of which was probably Bournemouth 202, the only operating open top trolleybus anywhere in the world! We also have a brief look at some buses including a delightful 1946 AEC Regal single deck open topper which ran journeys around the trolleybus circuit. |
