The Spirit of Tasmania IV has been a familiar sight in the Port of Leith since December 2024 with it being stored here as there were issues with the infrastructure over in Australia meaning it couldn't run there. Built in Finland it had to be moved as there were fears it would be damaged by pack ice over the winter, which led it to call Leith its home for over six months. Its seen in this image as 259 runs between Ocean Terminal and Port of Leith tramstops. The boat actually left Leith on 30th June so views such as this will no longer be possible (its expected to arrive in Tasmania in August).
