The first of two special photo charters took place on 2nd May and this saw the return to action of Van 11 - for the first time since 1997. The mail van has been restored over the past few years by volunteers from the Laxey and Lonan Heritage Trust and this charter would be the first time it was used since. Before the charter began the van is seen at the back of the consist here with Wagon 8 in front and 2 set to provide the power. Winter Saloon 19 is at the usual loading stop ready to depart with the 0940.
