20 Photos of... Merseyside trams

Another Bank Holiday bonus set of photos and this time we feature trams with a Merseyside connection. With the Merseyside Tramway Presevation Society having transferred ownership of three of their flagship trams - Birkenhead 20, Liverpool 762 and Wallasey 78 - to the Tramway Museum Society and those trams now residing at Crich we take a look back over the past 16 years or so at not only those trams but also others which have a connection to Merseyside. This includes trams which have operated on the Wirral Heritage Tramway - including some trips away from that tramway on loan - as well as the outlier in Liverpool 869 which has long been part of the national collection.

In total we see eight different trams over the years: Hong Kong built pair 69 and 70, Birkenhead 20, Wallasey 78, Lisbon 730 - another tram which has moved on, this time to Beamish - and Liverpool cars 245, 762 and 869.
