Manchester Metrolink - March 2025 Part 1

This is part one (of two) of a gallery which features photos taken on the Manchester Metrolink system in mid-March.

All of these photos were taken over a three day spell which was at the end of a period of trackworks on Mosley Street, and that meant it was a revised service in operation. With no trams able to run between St Peter's Square and Piccadilly Gardens/Market Street all trams from Altrincham and Bury ran direct to the other via 2CC instead of the regular service from both going to Piccadilly. But perhaps the most significant change was that trams from Ashton were diverted to Crumpsall, using the third platform there to terminate. Trams from The Trafford Centre only ran to Cornbrook whilst those from the Airport and Eccles terminated at Deansgate-Castlefield. There was also a shuttle service between Etihad Campus and Victoria.

Whilst this collection mainly features locations in and around the city centre we also head onto the Bury line with a lengthy stop at Crumpsall as well as at Whitefield and creep onto the Trafford Park line at Wharfside too.

Part two will head out further onto the network with images from the next day.
