Edinburgh Trams - February 2025

And we end this collection on 27th February 2025. We see 253 in this photo as it passes 107 Princes Street on the way to the Airport. 107 Princes Street opened as the flagship John Menzies store in 1973 but more recently the building was occupied by Next until they moved to St James Quarter in 2023. The building, which featured briefly in the opening scenes of the film "Trainspotting", is about to demolished and will become part of the new Ruby Hotel. This will also include 106 (the lower building on the right) and 104/5 (the taller building in the middle of the picture. Princes Street is currently seeing lots of development which will include four new hotels.
