The only tram to feature in this collection which is no longer with us is 722. Just over a year after this photo was taken 722 was hit from behind by fellow Balloon 711 which caused some damage to the tram and led to it being withdrawn. Whilst it would remain stored at Rigby Road for some time with the upgrade of the tramway coming the decision was made in October 2009 to start dismantling the tram. But before on 4th September 2006 that would come about we see the tram here in a plain advert for the Transport and General Workers Union at Starr Gate.
