Back to a traditionally shaped Balloon Car and we're on New South Promenade here for a view of 701 as its nearing the end of its journey at Starr Gate. The location is Abercorn Place and the destination blinds on the tram have already been changed ahead of its departure from Starr Gate back north to Cleveleys. This busy advert for The Palm Beach Hotel was the only one to ever be carried by 701 and was in place July 2005-November 2008. The tram is now part of the heritage fleet at Rigby Road but hasn't run since 2021. Date of photo 5th September 2006.
