 The first day of the event comes to an end for us at the Entrance as Oporto 196 arrives. Carrying the South Shields Corporation livery, 196 was originally acquired for spares it was soon realised it was in good enough condition for use and was restored to service. The tram was originally built in 1935, arrived at Beamish in 1989 and entered service in the UK in 1992. |
