20 Years in 20 Photos - Manchester Metrolink

Our 20 year look back at Manchester Metrolink actually starts 17 years ago in 2005 with one of the T68 trams arriving at St Peter's Square. This is the old arrangement at St Peter's Square with just two platforms as 2CC was still a long way from being considered. Also note that the platforms are not full height all the way along which required the use of steps on the trams to provide access. The tram is 1022 which is one of the few to have survived and is currently stored at Long Marston in Warwickshire.
