Almost three years late and well over budget the UK Tram-Train pilot between Sheffield and Rotherham finally got underway on Thursday 25th October offering three services an hour. Although the first day didn't run smoothly with a tram-train being derailed in a collision with a lorry on the conventional tramway the service was soon back up and running the following day and that is when 399 201 was captured on camera. The Citylink vehicle is just leaving Rotherham Central and is passing the signal which controls Rotherham Central Junction.
