At the end of June the operational tram fleet at Beamish increased to four members after the completion of work to Blackpool 31 which hadn't run in the northeast for more than two years (although it had enjoyed a year in Blackpool in the meantime). With the fine and sunny weather we have been enjoying in recent weeks (he says as he writes this update with the rain pouring down outside!) its return is a welcome addition at Beamish, also helping to take the strain off the other trams. In this 2nd July 2018 view we see 31 with fellow open topper Newcastle 114 for company.
