Gallery 963: Around the World in Trams Special - Western Railway Museum, Rio Vista

Here we see Key System 271. Originally built in 1901 by the St Louise Car Company it was first used by the Lehigh Valley Transit Company where it was numbered 139. Sold in 1904 to the Oakland Traction Company it became 251 and was then renumbered again to 271 when Key System took control of the line. This was to be the first car in the BAERA collection when it was acquired in 1946. It arrived at the museum in November 1963 and was an operational car at the time of this photo.
