Gallery 936: Manchester Metrolink - April 2021

This collection of photos shows parts of the Manchester Metrolink system during some nice Spring sunshine in April 2021. We start off the collection with a selection of images taken on the East Manchester Line to Ashton-under-Lyne as our photographer was on the hunt for the newest tram to enter service, 3121, which was in use for the first time since just before Christmas 2020. Its then over to Oldham Town Centre where we see some more of the M5000s as they operate on the service between East Didsbury and Rochdale Town Centre. Finally, its to the Bury line and the Heaton Park stop for a small number of photos. A high number of doubles in operation are again seen as social distancing measures remain firmly in place across Metrolink although from observations it does appear passenger numbers are back on the increase. Photographer: Steve Hyde
Photographs were taken on Tuesday 20th, Thursday 22nd & Friday 23rd April 2021.
