This set of archive photos were taken during the Tramathon event held at the Crich Tramway Village on 10th June 2007. This, at the time annual, event had a simple premise - if it could it would run in service! For the 2007 edition 16 different trams ran in service but unlike in previous years where there had been some withdrawn trams posed for photos that didn't happen on this occasion. Looking at the tram output with a 2021 eye the highlights were the use of Blackpool & Fleetwood 2, Gateshead 5, Johannesburg 60, Glasgow 812 and Glasgow 1297 plus Paisley 68 still in its Paisley guise. Also in service were Chesterfield 7, Glasgow 22, Sheffield 74, London County Council 106, Blackpool 167, Leeds 180, Metropolitan Electric Tramways 331, Leeds 345, Liverpool 869 and Berlin 3006. The big workshop project at the time was London United Tramways 159 and it was joined there by Southampton 45 which was undergoing some routine maintenance. Most of the above are featured in this collection.
