Gallery 918: Picture in Time Special - Manchester Metrolink 5th September 2007

As we return to the archives once more we are featuring Manchester Metrolink with this set of photos taken in September 2007. At this point in time the Metrolink network was much smaller than that we are used to today with only the lines to Altrincham, Bury and Eccles while the trams operating the service were exclusively the T68 and T68As. In this collection we start the day at G-Mex (Deansgate-Castlefield as it is today) before we head off to Eccles and Salford Quays. We then return to Cornbrook before we take a trip out to Altrincham and then conclude the day at St Peter's Square. Photographer: Gareth Prior
