| Gallery 915: Picture in Time Special - Blackpool Tramway Centenary 1985 |
 While a lot of the centenary year was about looking back at the past there was also the chance to see the first of the new one person operated trams which were to be know, appropriately, as the Centenary Cars. The first of these - 641 - was delivered in April 1984 and is seen here some three months later just south of the Tower. |
