Gallery 914: Heaton Park Tramway - Lightopia December 2020

Having been unable to operate since March 2020 owing to the Coronavirus pandemic the Heaton Park Tramway stirred back to life in December to provide an extra attraction for the Lightopia Festival which was taking place in the Park. With trams running on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for ticket holders at Lightopia the service was mainly operated by returning Stockport 5 (its first time in service since 2013) and Manchester 765 although Blackpool 623 was also used for three round trips on 19th December. In this gallery we take a look at some of the sights of the trams during Lightopia. Photographer: Joshua Haworth
