Gallery 900: Picture in Time Special - Wirral Bus and Tram Show 2009

As we again head into the archives we go back to the 2009 edition of the Wirral Bus and Tram Show. At this time the Wirral Heritage Tramway had six operational trams and they all ran at times during the day (a maximum of four at any one time). The day started with Birkenhead 20 and Liverpool 762 in service before 762 was replaced by Birkenhead 70. Wallasey 78 and Lisbon 730 entered service part way through the day while 20 was replaced by Birkenhead 69 during the afternoon. The weather may have been mixed (there were several heavy bursts of rain) but this was still an enjoyable event and if the operational trams weren't enough progress could be seen at Taylor Street on the restorations of Liverpool 245 and what was then still Warrington 2.
