Gallery 887: Picture in Time Special - Manchester Metrolink 1992-2001

In this collection of photos we take a look at Manchester Metrolink's original tram fleet - the T68s. With images taken at various points between 1992 and 2001 we view the trams on both the original Altrincham and Bury lines as well as the newer Eccles line which opened towards the end of the period under review. Not only is this a chance to see the old trams in action around Manchester but also to see how many Manchester has changed over the years with much development in evidence in this city which always seems to have a new building being built somewhere at all times.
