Gallery 879: Picture in Time Special - Blackpool Tramway 125th Anniversary 2010 |
September 2010 saw the Blackpool Tramway celebrate its 125th anniversary with a series of special tours and a cavalcade amongst the major events which took place. Whilst the original plan of several visiting trams was unable to be achieved (trees on the route from Crich plus failures once some trams arrived) there were still some popular loan trams which were used alongside the resident fleet during these events. In this collection we take a brief look at some of the events during the celebrations including enthusiast tours, normal service cars and concluding with trams during the cavalcade. Amongst the visitors included are Marton 31, Rack 2 and Pantograph 167 with residents Standard 147, Boat 600 and Coronation 660 also featured. |
