Gallery 860: Around the World in Trams - Midwest Electric Railway, Iowa |
The second tram to come from Rio de Janeiro via the Magee Transportation Museum is Midwest Electic Railway 1779. In this view we see the vehicle arriving at the Yarmouth station building. The history of this car is similar to 1718, with the main difference being it received the number 3 at Magee and that it arrived into the ownership of the Midwest Old Threshers Asssociation some three years later in 1973. 1779 - as renumbered again - carries a green livery as can be seen in this photo. |
